I am a postdoctoral researcher in the ERC project DEPART at the Department of Government of the University of Vienna since September 2021, and hold a PhD in political science from the University of Basel, Switzerland. I was a visiting scholar at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from August 2019 until February 2021.

My research explores questions related to politicians’ behaviour, responsiveness, interest representation and lobbying, and political careers with a methodological emphasis on quantitative approaches and large-N data. In my PhD, I studied formal ties between legislators and interest groups i.e., legislators sitting on interest group boards, and how this affects parliamentary behaviour.

I earned my M.A. in Comparative and International Studies from ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich in 2016, and my B.A. in political science and history from the University of Lucerne in 2014.
